PFLAG Austin is an approved chapter of PFLAG National. Founded in 1973 with the simple act of a mother publicly supporting her gay son, PFLAG is the nation’s largest organization uniting LGBTQ+ people with families, friends, and allies — with hundreds of chapters and hundreds of thousands of supporters across all 50 states. PFLAG National advances equality through its threefold mission of support, education, and advocacy.
