2-1-1 Texas

2-1-1 Texas is a collaboration of United Way Capital Area and the Texas Health and Human Services Commission.  Anyone inside Texas can call 2-1-1 for free information and referrals to health, employment, educational legal, housing, counseling, transportation, human service agencies, nonprofit, faith-based organizations, disaster relief resources, and volunteer opportunities.   It is free and confidential, available 24/7, accessible by TTY/TDD,  multilingual.

 

Out Youth

Central Texas LGBTQ+ (lesbian/gay/bisexual, transgender, and queer/questioning) youth/allies.  Services to ensure these promising young people develop into happy, healthy, successful adults. Provide trainings and resources for parents, teachers, and community members.

A closed Facebook group where one can ask for instructions, direction, information, experience, on changing one’s name and gender marker in Texas. There are many knowledgeable people in the group, ranging from attorneys to people who have “been there and done that” who are willing to help.

GLBT National Help Center
