Is my response to RSVP questions publicly visible?

We had a question on whether your response to the "what's your connection to the LGBTQiA+ community?" question

When RSVP'ing to a meetup.com support group meeting event, you will be asked some question(s). Your answers to those questions would not be publicly visible. Only you and the event's organizers can see your response, nobody else.

How to check your meetup.com notification settings

In web browser on desktop computer or laptop:

• Click on your avatar at upper right, select “Settings”.

  • Click on “Email Updates” in left column.

• On right, scroll down to locate “PFLAG Austin Texas - LGBTQ Support Group” and click “Edit” to the right of it.

• Confirm that the following options are selected:

  • “New event announcements”

  • “Changes to event time or location”

  • “Event updates from organizers”

  • “Announcement to members about the group”

On Android phone:

• Click on your avatar at upper right, select “Settings”.

• Click on dot-dot-dot at upper right and select “Manage notifications”.

• Click on “Email updates”.

• Scroll down to locate “PFLAG Austin Texas - LGBTQ Support Group” and click on it.

• Confirm that the following options are selected:

  • “New event announcements”

  • “Changes to event time or location”

  • “Event updates from organizers”

  • “Announcement to members about the group”

On iPhone:
